Dr. Jasmine Burton
PT, DPT, FAFS, CSCS
I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and have since completed two post-doctoral fellowships, the first in Advanced Lower Quarter Biomechanics with Dr. Chris Powers and the second in Applied Functional Science with the Gray Institute. I have worked with patients of all ages and diagnoses and a wide variety of athletes from the high school to the professional level - including elite athletes from the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, CrossFit and USA Beach Volleyball. During my time in my fellowships I learned how to utilize high-speed camera technology and biomechanics in order to determine root causes of injuries and address the source of pain. I have also been able to successfully integrate rehabilitation and performance at the highest level while working with high-level athletes. My passion for the profession and specifically working with youth athletes, stems from my own background as an athlete, and therefore I understand the value of approaching recovery with diligence, understanding, and empowerment.
My mission is to provide physical therapy and injury prevention services that offer one-on-one evaluation and treatment of movement dysfunction. My goal is to deliver unparalleled results by using technology, providing undivided attention, hands-on manual therapy, movement re-training and individualized exercise programs that bridge the gap between rehabilitation, injury prevention, and sports performance.
The goal of Burton Movement Institute is to create a model in which the care and services provided will result in providing physical therapy services and education to youth athletes in need.
